Rabbits and guinea pigs pick a corner and stick to it. That is the whole opportunity here: you are not really training an animal to use a tray, you are putting a tray where it has already decided to go — which is why a triangle is a more sensible shape in a cage than a rectangle.

This is Moderna's corner pan in the large size. It is moulded with round edges throughout, which is what they mean by non-stick: there is no square internal corner for bedding and waste to pack into, so it empties and rinses instead of needing to be dug out. The sides are shaped to keep litter from being scattered over the edge, and the whole thing stacks. The plastic is more than 98% recycled, BPA-free and non-toxic, and it cleans with warm soapy water.
