Collars are sized by the neck girth — the measurement around the base of the neck where the collar will sit.
How to measure
- Wrap a soft tape around the base of the neck.
- Add room for two fingers between the tape and the neck.
- Use that measurement to pick a size whose range it falls within.

A dog cannot take its coat off on a hot day, so most of the ways people help it cope with heat are really about managing the walk rather than the dog: shorter routes, earlier starts, more water. A collar that carries its own cooling is one of the few things that works on the dog itself.
The Kingdom Pet Cooling Collar is cooled in the fridge for 10 minutes before wear, then keeps a dog cool and refreshed for up to 4 hours - long enough for a proper summer walk rather than just the walk to the end of the road. It fastens with an adjustable velcro strap, and Kingdom describe the material as safe, fast-cooling, antibacterial and non-toxic.
