Full description

Hens kept without much to do turn that boredom into feather-pecking, which is the whole reason a pecking treat exists rather than just a food bowl. Hentastic's block is designed to be worked at rather than eaten in one go, made from wheat flour, vegetable fat and mixed seeds with calcium powder, peanut butter, seaweed and a run of herbs — parsley, oregano, spearmint and garlic powder — plus spirulina powder.

It is sold as a treat rather than a complete feed, and comes with a reusable henpecker feeder to hang it from in the coop or run, so the block does not just sit on the ground where it can be fouled. Hentastic's own instruction is to feed it daily as a treat alongside a hen's normal diet.
