Chickens with nothing to do peck at each other, so a good part of keeping hens well is really about giving them a job — and a spread they have to work at through a feeder does exactly that.

Cluck Butter is made from wheat flour, vegetable fat and mixed seeds, bound with peanut butter and boosted with calcium powder, seaweed, parsley, oregano, spearmint and spirulina powder. Crude protein comes in at 9%, crude fat at 25%, crude fibre at 2.2% and crude ash at 10%. It's fed by removing the lid and placing the tub into a Cluck Butter Feeder, or it can be warmed and spread onto enrichment toys, and Hentastic recommend it as a daily treat.

One thing worth knowing. Hentastic classify this as a treat rather than a complete feed, so it shouldn't replace layers pellets, and there's no per-bird portion size given beyond "feed daily as a treat" — use judgement on how much goes into the feeder for the number of hens sharing it.

Who it's for: keepers of hens or other poultry who want an enrichment treat their birds have to work for, rather than something simply scattered on the ground.
