A flea treatment dosed for the wrong size dog is either wasted or under-strength, which is why Frontline Plus is sold in separate packs by dog size rather than one universal dose. This page covers the Medium and Large dog packs together, each giving 3 pipettes.

The active ingredients are fipronil and s-methoprene, applied as a single-use spot-on from each pipette: the foil-backed applicator is removed, held upright so the contents settle into the main body, the tip is snapped off, and it's applied to the skin. For the Large pack, Boehringer Ingelheim state it's suitable for dogs weighing 20-40kg from 8 weeks of age and at least 2kg bodyweight; the Medium pack is sized for a lighter dog on the same 3-pipette basis. Dogs should not be bathed or allowed to swim for 2 days after application, and it's not suitable for use on rabbits.
