Full description

A small-animal treat that leans on vegetables rather than sugar is worth noticing, mainly because so many on the shelf next to it don't.

This 60g pack is built from wholegrain wheat and oats, grass meal, dried peas, rapeseed oil and dried carrot, with banana puree and dried apple adding sweetness instead of added sugar.

60G pack
Protein 12%, fat 11%, fibre 8%, ash 4%
No added sugar
No added artificial colours or flavours
Country Values recommend one piece a day, fed in moderation
For small animals kept alongside quality hay and fresh water

One thing worth knowing. This is described as a treat rather than a staple food, and Country Values' own guidance is one piece a day — it's not meant to replace the hay and fresh vegetables a small animal needs daily, just add a little variety on top of them.

Who it's for: owners of rabbits, guinea pigs and similar small animals wanting an occasional treat that isn't built around sugar.

Why we chose it

No added sugar in a small-animal treat is less common than it should be, which is the actual reason to stock this one over a sweeter alternative. It's a small pack at a small price, so it's an easy thing to keep as an occasional extra rather than a big commitment.
