Full description

Apple gets a stated percentage here and banana doesn't, which is a small but real difference worth knowing if you're comparing this against a treat that quantifies both fruits.

It's built from wholegrain wheat, wholegrain oats, grass meal (14%) and dried pea (11%), with rapeseed oil, dried apple (4%) and banana puree, plus dried carrot and lignocellulose. Country Values build the base the same way across several of their small-animal treats, with wholegrain cereals and grass meal forming the bulk of the recipe and the named fruits sitting on top of that.

Grass meal 14%, dried pea 11%
Dried apple 4%
Banana puree included, percentage not stated
Protein 12%, fat 11%, crude fibre 8%, crude ash 4%
Classed as a complementary treat
60G pack

A small omission. Dried apple is given a figure (4%) but banana puree isn't — both are genuinely in the ingredient list, just not both quantified the same way on this card.

Who it's for: owners of small animals wanting a treat with real named fruit rather than a fruit flavouring.

Why we chose it

Real dried apple with a percentage behind it is more than a lot of small-animal treats bother to give you. We'd rather flag that the banana isn't quantified than pretend the card tells us more than it does.
