Small fish spend a lot of their time avoiding open water, and a tank without anywhere to duck into is more stressful for them than the decor question suggests.

Classic Pet Products' bridge ornaments are made from polyresin, hand made and hand painted using non-toxic paints, in three different styles across the range — the bamboo-style bridge suits a far-eastern themed tank, while the more weathered wooden and stone versions fit a broader range of aquarium looks, including alongside "ruins"-style ornaments. This one measures 17.5cm.

• 17.5cm size
• Polyresin construction
• Hand made and hand painted
• Non-toxic paints
• Provides hiding places for small fish

What isn't specified. No safe-for-saltwater-or-freshwater distinction is given beyond "aquarium", and no weight or base footprint is listed, so it's worth checking the ornament will physically sit the way you want in your own tank before committing to the scene around it.

Who it's for: aquarium keepers building a themed scene — far-eastern, ruins, or general — who want a hiding place for small fish that also does something visually, rather than a plain rock or pipe.
