Small animals spend most of their day in whatever bedding they're given, which is why the material under their feet matters more to them than almost anything else in the cage.

Carefresh is made from 100% reclaimed natural fibre — offcuts from tissue and paper manufacturing combined with kiln-dried Western Hemlock, Spruce, Douglas Fir and Pine — dyed with pet-safe colourants similar to those used in bath and facial tissue, with no harsh chemicals. Carefresh recommend a layer of 2-6 inches in the pet's home, spot-cleaning soiled patches between full cleans, and a complete clean once a week with warm water and gentle soap, rinsed and dried thoroughly before refilling.

• 100% reclaimed natural fibre bedding
• Made from tissue/paper offcuts and kiln-dried woods
• Pet-safe dyes, no harsh chemicals
• Lay 2-6 inches of bedding
• Full clean weekly with warm water and gentle soap
• Suitable for hamsters, gerbils, rats, mice, rabbits, guinea pigs and chinchillas

One thing worth knowing. Carefresh flag a risk of impaction if a pet ingests a significant amount of the bedding, and say to stop use and see a vet if impaction is suspected — worth knowing for any animal that tends to chew or eat its bedding rather than just burrow in it.

Who it's for: owners of hamsters, gerbils, rats, mice, rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas or other small animals who want a soft, reclaimed-fibre bedding over wood shavings or straw.
