Full description

A treat named after a vegetable patch ought to have actual vegetables in it, and this one names four of them by percentage rather than lumping everything into a vague "vegetables" line.

The base is grass meal (26%), wheat, gram flour and oats with rapeseed oil, and then sweet potato, beetroot powder, parsnip and carrot each at 4%, with pea and lignocellulose completing the mix. Burgess build the base the same way across several of their small-animal treats, with grass meal and cereals forming the bulk of the recipe and the four named vegetables sitting on top of that rather than replacing it.

Grass meal 26%
Sweet potato, beetroot powder, parsnip and carrot, 4% each
Protein 13%, fat 8%, crude fibre 11%, crude ash 4%
Feed one snack per day
Classed as a complementary treat
60G pack

Worth flagging. Each of the four named vegetables sits at 4% — a genuine, named ingredient rather than a trace flavouring, though grass meal and cereals still make up more of the recipe by weight overall.

Who it's for: owners of rabbits and guinea pigs wanting a treat with real named vegetables rather than one built purely on flavouring.

Why we chose it

Four vegetables named at 4% each is more detail than most treats in this category give you, and it beats a generic 'vegetable flavour' line every time. It's a fair one-a-day treat rather than something to leave in the cage all afternoon.
