Ferret food can look like a small-animal product while carrying an analysis quite unlike many other dry feeds. The clearest starting points here are the poultry proportion and the declared protein and fat.

Burgess Excel Ferret Nuggets are complete dry food for ferrets in a 2KG bag. Poultry meal makes up 46.5%, including chicken at 41%, and fish meal contributes 4%. Rice, poultry fat, hydrolysed poultry meal, yeast, dried beet pulp, poultry gravy, minerals and fructo-oligosaccharides at 0.25% complete the composition. The analysis declares crude protein 38%, crude fat 20%, crude fibre 1.5%, crude ash 10.5%, calcium 2.7%, phosphorus 1.3% and sodium 0.5%.

On feeding detail. The supplied guidance gives no daily quantity or ferret-weight table. Burgess says only to introduce the nuggets gradually over 7-10 days and ensure fresh, clean water is always available, so the page does not turn the analysis into its own feeding plan.

Who it's for: ferret owners looking for a complete dry nugget with a high declared poultry share and a fully stated protein, fat, fibre and mineral analysis.
