Full description

A chinchilla offered a mixed muesli will often eat around the pieces it likes least, which over time leaves exactly the nutrients it was picking out. Burgess Excel's answer is a single nugget rather than a mix, so a chinchilla cannot selectively feed its way to an unbalanced diet.

The recipe is built on wheat, lucerne, soyabean hulls, oatfeed, hipro soya and peas, with mint added at 1.25% and a small inclusion of short-chain fructo-oligosaccharides (0.2%) as a prebiotic. Burgess quote beneficial fibre at 31% alongside crude protein at 17%, crude oils and fats at 4%, and separately list crude fibre at 16% and crude ash at 6.5% — two different fibre figures on the same pack, measuring different things.
