Full description

A pesticide works by poisoning a parasite; dimethicone works by trapping it, which is a genuinely different mechanism and one reason it's reached for when a pesticide-free option matters.

This is a line-on treatment for mites, fleas and lice, applied to the back of the neck. Rather than a pesticide, it uses dimethicone at 502 g/l, which physically immobilises parasites by forming a layer they can't move through — they then fall from the fur or can be combed out.

One thing worth knowing. Beaphar say this is not suitable for other small animals beyond rabbits, guinea pigs and ferrets, and must not be used on any of those three under 12 weeks old, or on a sick, recovering, pregnant or nursing animal. Avoid eye contact and don't apply it to damaged skin.
