Degus are prone to diabetes if their diet runs too sugary, which is why a food built around fibre rather than dried fruit pieces matters more for them than it does for most small pets.

Beaphar Care+ Degu is a complete, single-pellet food — no loose mixed pieces to pick through — with 19% crude fibre, built around cereals and vegetable by-products including Yucca schidigera (0.1%), echinacea (0.03%) and spirulina (0.01%).
