Specifications

Brand: Armitage

Full description

The largest sheet in a fitted range is usually the one bought for a bigger cage or an aviary corner, rather than a standard budgie cage — and sizing it correctly matters more here, because a sheet cut for a smaller tray simply will not reach the edges of a bigger one.

These are Kagesan sand sheets cut to fit a 17" x 11" (43cm x 28cm) cage, sold as a pack of five. As with the smaller sizes in this range, the sanded surface helps wear down beaks and claws naturally.

On what we do not know. This pack holds five sheets rather than six, which is one fewer than the smaller sizes in this range — worth factoring in if you are used to reordering on a fixed schedule. No paper weight or thickness figure is supplied.

Who it's for: owners of larger cage birds or bigger cage trays who need the 43cm x 28cm size specifically, rather than the smaller sheets in this range.

Why we chose it

It is the size that actually covers a bigger tray properly, and a sheet that falls short of the edges defeats the point of using one at all. We would rather stock the size that fits than leave people cutting a smaller sheet down.
