Specifications

Brand: Argo
Food type: Complementary_or_treat

Full description

Not every grain sold to poultry keepers is meant as a meal — some are sold specifically as something for birds to peck at between proper feeds, and this is one of those.

Argo Whole Wheat is exactly that: cleaned whole wheat, sold as a straight feeding stuff for poultry and birds, to be fed as required alongside access to clean water. Argo describe it as intended for birds to peck at as a treat rather than as a primary ration.

Single ingredient: cleaned whole wheat
Sold as a treat / straight feeding stuff, not a complete diet
For all poultry and birds
20KG bag
Access to clean water should be provided alongside it

What the label doesn't say. No protein, fat or nutritional analysis is published for this product, which fits with it being sold as a treat grain rather than a formulated feed — it isn't meant to replace a proper layers or growers ration.

Who it's for: poultry and bird keepers who already feed a complete ration and want a plain wheat treat to scatter, rather than anyone looking for a primary feed.

Argo Whole Wheat

Why we chose it

It's genuinely just wheat, cleaned and nothing added, which is exactly what you want in a scatter treat rather than something with a long ingredient list you don't need for an occasional peck-at feed. Twenty kilos lasts a long time when it's only ever a top-up rather than a main meal.
