A dietetic food is not the same as an everyday one with a healthier-sounding name — it is formulated to be fed for a defined period, under guidance, for a specific issue, and Arden Grange are explicit about both the purpose and the limits of this one.

VetCare Gastrointestinal Duck with Sweet Potato leads with sweet potato (43%) and duck (34%, combining fresh duck and duck meat meal), with added electrolytes (sodium bicarbonate, potassium chloride, sodium chloride) to help replace fluids lost to diarrhoea. Arden Grange state the dry recipe's protein at 20% and fat at 10%, formulated with reduced fat to ease pressure on the pancreas.

On the wet tray. The composition and analytical figures above are for the dry bags. Arden Grange also sell this range as a wet tray, formulated for the same condition, but the specific composition and analysis of that tray is not the fact card we have used to write this page — check the tray's own label if that is the format you are buying.

Who it's for: a dog under a vet's care for an intestinal absorption disorder, maldigestion or chronic pancreatic insufficiency — this is a dietetic food to be fed on veterinary advice, not a general digestive-support recipe for an otherwise healthy dog.
