A dog that turns its nose up at dry kibble is not always being difficult, and a fresh-meat wet can is the usual next thing owners try before assuming the worst. Arden Grange's Partners recipe leads with fresh chicken at 70%, well ahead of the 5% rice that follows it, aimed squarely at making the meat content the headline rather than an afterthought.

Alongside the chicken and rice, the recipe includes minerals, peas, carrots, beet pulp, fish oil, seaweed extract, glucosamine, chondroitin, cranberry and yucca extract. The analysis shows moisture at 70%, crude protein 11%, fat content 8%, crude ash 3.5% and crude fibre 1% — figures typical of a fresh, high-meat wet food rather than a drier, denser recipe. It is supplied as six 395g cans.

On the feeding guide. No feeding guide by bodyweight is given on this specific card, so working out a daily amount means judging portion size by your own dog's condition and appetite, or checking Arden Grange's wider feeding guidance rather than a printed table here.

Who it's for: owners of adult dogs who want a high-meat, fresh chicken wet food — particularly dogs who eat wet food more readily than dry, or as a topper alongside kibble.
