Brand: Ancol Pet Products Limited
Material: High-quality ceramic, offering temperature regulation

Full description

Ceramic doesn't trap heat the way a fabric hide does, which is the actual point of this one — it stays cool to the touch when the room is warm, rather than warming up along with everything else in the cage.

It's a ceramic hide sized roughly 12 x 15cm, sold in four different designs, offering the kind of temperature regulation only a hard, dense material can.

What's not confirmed. the makers give a material and a rough size but no maximum pet size or weight, so if you're buying for a larger small pet rather than a mouse or hamster, there's nothing here to check the fit against.

Who it's for: owners of hamsters, gerbils and similar small pets wanting a cool retreat for warmer days rather than more bedding to burrow into.

Why we chose it

Ceramic actually does something a fabric hide can't — it stays cool on its own rather than trapping warmth. It's also one of the cheaper hides we stock, so it's an easy add rather than a big decision.
