A cat's first reaction to a bowl of food is almost entirely about smell — taste only gets a look-in once the smell has already passed the test, which is the whole idea behind an "aromatic" range.

Whiskas' Aromatic Fusion pouches are built around a meat or fish chunk making up 85-90% of the recipe depending on the variety, with the named meat or fish itself at 4% within that. Whiskas describe the range as formulated to provide 100% of a cat's daily needs, with added B vitamins, taurine and balanced minerals. The analysis is protein 7.6%, fat 4.2%, fibre 0.5%, moisture 84.2%, at 73kcal per 100g, in a 12 x 85g pouch box.

• Meat or fish chunk 85-90% of the recipe, named ingredient 4% within that
• Protein 7.6%, fat 4.2%, fibre 0.5%, moisture 84.2%
• 73kcal/100g
• Taurine and added B vitamins
• Linoleic acid at 0.65%
• 12 x 85g pouches, served in gravy

What's not fully itemised. The composition on the card we hold gives the headline chunk percentage and the named meat or fish within it, but doesn't break down every recipe in the 12-pouch box individually, so exactly which flavours make up the assortment isn't confirmed here. There's also no omega-3/omega-6 split given beyond the single linoleic acid figure.

Who it's for: owners of an adult cat (1+) who responds to a stronger-smelling wet food, or a household wanting a 12-pouch box rather than buying single trays.
