Wahl call this one a Pro 40, and nowhere in anything the listing supplies is a cut length stated against that number - no millimetres, no fraction of an inch, no description of the finish it leaves. The most expensive thing in a grooming drawer is a blade that fits nothing you own. Clipper blades are not a standard fitting across brands, or even reliably across one brand's ranges, and the number printed on the box describes the cut rather than the machine.
This is one of Wahl's Prime Series blades, and Wahl designed the range specifically for the KM Supera pet clipper - which is the thing to check before anything else. Every Prime blade is precision ground from solid high-carbon steel, sits on a quick-change system so it comes on and off without tools, and is grooved so that it runs cooler through a long session. Because it is solid metal rather than a plated edge, Wahl say it can be re-sharpened multiple times before it needs replacing, which changes what it costs you over a couple of years rather than over one groom.
