Brand: Vetzyme

Full description

A scrape or graze picked up on a summer walk doesn't always need a vet trip, but leaving it uncleaned is how a small graze turns into a bigger problem a few days later.

Vetzyme's Antibacterial Powder is designed for dogs, cats and small pets, with a gentle, soothing antibacterial action intended to keep the skin and coat clean, dry and free from harmful bacteria on minor wounds. Vetzyme say it's formulated not to cause discomfort on sore areas. It's a 40g pack.

On safety. This is classed as a biocidal product, and the manufacturer's own instruction is to use biocides safely and always read the label and product information before use. Vetzyme don't give us an application frequency on this card, so follow the label's own directions, and see a vet for anything beyond a minor graze or for a wound that isn't improving.

Who it's for: owners who want an antibacterial powder in the first-aid kit for minor summer-walk scrapes, across dogs, cats and small pets.

Vetzyme Antibacterial Powder

Why we chose it

It's small and light enough to genuinely live in a dog-walking bag rather than staying in a cupboard at home, which is the whole point for something meant for on-the-spot mishaps. Covering dogs, cats and small pets from one tin also means it doesn't need duplicating across species.
