Full description

A cat that is used to squatting in the open does not always take to a hood on day one, but the mess an enclosed pan stops is the reason most owners persevere.

This is the Large Van Ness pan: odour and stain resistant plastic with a high-polish finish, a hooded design with an odour door, and a replaceable Zeolite air filter. It measures 17.00" x 15.25" x 19.50" (H x W x D), is designed to stop litter scatter, and comes with a carrying handle.

If a multi-cat household or a larger cat needing room to turn around is the concern, these are the figures to check against, not a smaller size we cannot describe.

Why we chose it

An enclosed pan with a replaceable filter is the better long-term buy against scented litter, because you are paying for a filter change rather than perfumed litter every week. The odour door and scatter control are the two things that actually stop a tray smelling out a small flat.
