A mixed aquarium usually has fish feeding at completely different depths and on completely different things — a bottom-dweller sifting scraps and a mid-water grazer picking at algae — and a single floating flake food does not reach either of them well.

Tetra Prima is a slow-sinking granule, aimed at feeding mid-water and bottom-feeding fish rather than surface feeders, and blends herbivore and omnivore granules in the one pack to suit a mixed tank. It's built from fish and fish derivatives, vegetable protein extracts, yeasts, cereals, oils and fats, molluscs and crustaceans, algae and minerals, and Tetra describe it as a complete food using a patented bioactive formula.
