Large ornamental fish can make short work of food intended for a much smaller mouth. A larger floating stick gives them a format they can take at the surface, while also letting the keeper see what has been eaten.

Tetra Cichlid Sticks XL are complete food for cichlids and other large ornamental fish. The extruded sticks are described as softening quickly while remaining stable in the water. Their composition begins with fish and fish derivatives, then vegetable protein extracts and yeasts, followed by vegetable derivatives, molluscs and crustaceans, oils and fats, and minerals.

• 500ML / 160G pack
• Complete food for cichlids and other large ornamental fish
• Large floating stick format
• Crude protein 46% and crude fat 8%
• Crude fibre 2% and moisture 8%
• Vitamin D3 2,041 IU/kg and citric acid 325 mg/kg

One gap in the label: no feeding frequency, portion size or time limit is included in the published information. The large-stick format describes the food, not a universal serving, so use the instructions printed on the tub rather than estimating a number from the fish's size alone.

Who it's for: cichlid keepers and owners of other large ornamental fish who want a complete floating food in a stick sized for larger mouths.
