Specifications

Brand: Supa
Food type: Complementary_or_treat

Full description

Putting more than one treat type in the same dish saves a bird from having to visit twice, which is the logic behind a mixed platter rather than two separate bags of mealworms and suet.

This is Supa's mixed platter: dried mealworms and suet pellets with a dash of raisins and berries, described as a highly nutritious, protein-rich treat. It can be fed alone or mixed into other seed or suet feed, and comes in a reusable, resealable 500ML plastic drum.

Mixture of dried mealworms, suet pellets, raisins and berries
Can be fed alone or mixed into other seed or suet feed
Attracts robins, sparrows, blackbirds, blue tits, great tits and starlings
Reusable, resealable 500ML drum
A complementary treat, not a complete diet

what the makers haven't told us. There's no percentage breakdown of how much of the mix is mealworms versus suet versus fruit, and no protein or fat figure. Treat the mix as a variety treat rather than one with a stated formula.

Who it's for: anyone wanting a single, mixed treat rather than buying mealworms, suet and dried fruit separately.

Why we chose it

One drum covering three treat types is simpler than stocking each separately. It's an easy single product to recommend to anyone who wants variety without buying three different bags.
