Wild birds need fat far more than they need variety, especially outside the breeding season, and a suet pellet is essentially a concentrated fat delivery system dressed up with a flavour to make sure it actually gets eaten rather than left in the feeder.

These are wheat flour, beef suet, glucose, ground peanuts and berries, pressed into pellets sized for a suet pellet feeder or scattered on a bird table. Suet To Go add citric acid (E330) as a preservative and a red colouring. The pack carries an explicit allergen warning for peanuts and wheat flour, and states the product is not for human consumption.
