Food type: Complementary food for wild birds.

Full description

Positioning a feeder out of a cat's reach is as much a part of feeding garden birds responsibly as choosing the right recipe, and it's the kind of advice that's easy to skip past on a packet.

Suet To Go's Premium Insect Suet Logs are made from wheat flour, beef suet, mixed seeds, peanut flour and insects, with natural colouring added, sold as a pack of 6 logs designed to fit their own Suet Log Feeder.

Pack of 6 logs

Position at a safe height, away from cats

On feeding. Suet To Go's own instruction is specific about safety as well as nutrition — position the feeder at a height cats can't reach, and keep fresh water available alongside it. That's worth following rather than skipping past.

Who it's for: anyone already using, or planning to use, Suet To Go's own Suet Log Feeder, since these logs are built to fit it specifically.

Why we chose it

It's the direct refill for the log feeder we already stock, so anyone who's bought that feeder has an obvious next purchase here. Natural colouring rather than an unnamed one was the other detail worth having.
