Specifications

Brand: Suet To Go
Food type: These pellets are perfect for use with any pellet feeder and are an ideal complementary feed.

Full description

Adding berries to a suet pellet is aimed at the same birds that go for hedgerow fruit over anything else on offer, which is a different crowd to the ones that go straight for suet alone.

Suet To Go's Berry Suet Pellets are made from wheat flour, beef suet, glucose, ground peanuts and berries, with citric acid (E330) at 1,320mg/kg and a red colour added, sold in a 500G bag.

500G bag
Composition: wheat flour, beef suet, glucose, ground peanuts, berries
Citric acid (E330) at 1,320mg/kg, plus a red colourant
Described as a complementary feed for use with any pellet feeder

On the additives. Suet To Go name citric acid at a specific rate and a red colourant, which is more transparent than most suet products manage, but there's no breakdown of how much berry, as opposed to sugar or suet, actually makes up the mix.

Who it's for: gardens already running a pellet feeder who want a fruitier option alongside the plain and insect varieties.

Why we chose it

Stocking all three Suet To Go flavours side by side, berry, insect and mealworm, means whichever birds are visiting have something aimed at them specifically. The citric acid figure being named at all is a level of detail worth having too.
