Specifications

Brand: Small 'N' Furry

Full description

A toy that only sits still is a toy a rabbit stops noticing within a day, which is the reason a rattle inside changes how much use it actually gets.

This is Small 'N' Furry's Sisal Carrot Toy, 20.3cm long, with a rattle built in so that rolling or throwing it gives a rabbit extra reason to keep coming back to it.

On the rattle: Small 'N' Furry describe this as a top-selling rabbit toy without publishing what the rattle mechanism is made from or whether it's chew-safe if the outer sisal wears through, so it's worth checking the toy periodically once your rabbit has been at it for a while and retiring it if the shell starts to give way.

Who it's for: rabbit owners whose pet likes to push, roll or throw a toy around the hutch rather than just gnaw on something static.

Why we chose it

A rattle is a cheap addition that turns a static chew into something a rabbit actively plays with, which is a genuinely different kind of enrichment to another plain chew toy. At 20.3cm it's a decent-sized toy rather than something that disappears in a day.
