Reading "meat and animal derivatives" on a cat food label tells you almost nothing by itself — the number that actually matters is the smaller one named in brackets next to it.

This box holds three recipes under the Poultry Collection name: Chicken and Turkey, Chicken, and Poultry. Each carries "meat and animal derivatives" at 45% of the tray, 94% of which is described as natural, but the named ingredient within that 45% is only 4% chicken and 4% turkey in the Chicken and Turkey recipe — the rest of the 45% isn't broken down by species on the card we hold. It's sold as 100% complete and balanced nutrition for adult cats over 12 months, made with no fillers, at 85kcal per 100g.

• Three recipes: Chicken and Turkey, Chicken, Poultry
• "Meat and animal derivatives" 45%, of which named chicken/turkey is 4% each
• Protein 9%, fat 5%, ash 2%, moisture 82%
• 85kcal/100g (216kcal per 255g)
• Made with no fillers
• 100% complete for adult cats over 12 months

What "Poultry Collection" doesn't confirm. The 45% "meat and animal derivatives" figure is only partly broken down — 4% named chicken and 4% named turkey in the relevant recipe — so most of that 45% isn't confirmed by species on the source we hold, even under a name that promises poultry throughout. It reads as poultry-forward rather than a fully itemised poultry-only recipe.

Who it's for: owners of an adult cat over 12 months who wants variety across three poultry-leaning recipes in one box, rather than a single-flavour tray.
