Cats over seven don't always show their age in obvious ways — appetite and energy often shift before anything else does, which is when a senior-specific food starts to earn its keep.

Chicken leads the recipe at 17%, with dried poultry protein alongside it, and Purina add a specific strain of Lactobacillus, branded Bifensis, at 0.025%. It's not a grain-free recipe: wheat appears at 15%, plus wheat gluten further down the list.

• Chicken 17%, plus dried poultry protein
• Protein 37%, fat 13%, crude ash 7.5%, fibre 2.5%
• Contains added Lactobacillus (Bifensis) at 0.025%
• Wheat present at 15% — not a grain-free recipe
• Feeding guide by cat weight: 25–105g a day across the 2–8kg range
• 7.5KG bag, for cats aged 7 and over

On the recipe. This isn't a grain-free food — wheat appears twice in the ingredient list, as wheat and wheat gluten, at a combined level ahead of the named chicken — so if you're avoiding grain for another cat in the house, this one isn't it.

Who it's for: owners of a cat aged seven or over who want a dry food built around a specific probiotic strain and a weight-based feeding table, rather than a grain-free formula.
