Purina One High Protein Chicken Dry Cat Food

Cats lose muscle condition more easily than owners often expect, especially as they get older or once they're neutered and naturally less active, and a diet built around a higher protein figure is one of the more straightforward ways to work against that.

Named chicken makes up 15% of the recipe (bone, meat, skin), but it isn't the only chicken-derived ingredient — dried poultry protein and dried chicken protein both appear separately in the list, alongside wheat, rice (7%), corn gluten meal and dried chicory root (2%) as a prebiotic. It's a complete dry food working out at 40% protein, 15% fat, 8% ash and 2.5% fibre, with Purina's feeding guide adjusted for neutered cats as well as entire ones.

There's also no taurine or vitamin breakdown given on this card, unlike some of Purina's other recipes.
