Full description

A pond doesn't have the luxury of a single-species tank, so a general pond food has to suit whatever is swimming in it, such as koi, goldfish or orfe, rather than being tuned to one species the way a specialist tropical food can be.

Pettex General Pond Pellet declares protein at 27%, crude fat at 4.5%, crude fibre at 3.4% and ash at 6.5%, with spirulina added at 0.05% for colour. We have no further ingredient breakdown beyond that.

Protein 27%, crude fat 4.5%, crude fibre 3.4%, ash 6.5%
Spirulina added at 0.05%
10kg bag

One thing worth knowing. There is no full ingredient list for this food, only the analysis and the spirulina addition, so we can give you the nutritional numbers but not exactly what makes up the rest of the pellet.

Who it's for: pond keepers wanting a straightforward, general-purpose pellet for a mixed pond of coldwater fish, rather than a food tailored to one species.

Pettex General Pond Pellet

Why we chose it

A 10kg bag is the practical size for a pond rather than a tank, and a general pellet is the sensible default when a pond holds more than one type of fish. It's a simple, no-frills stock choice for exactly that reason.
