Full description
Dogs with pale skin or thin coats can get sunburnt just like people, on the nose, ears and belly especially, which is not something most owners think to protect against on a walk.
These are SPF15 sunscreen wipes, sold 20 to a pack, each an extra-thick, moist wipe measuring 20cm x 18cm. Petkin describe the formula as non-greasy and non-sticky, with a vanilla and coconut scent, and Sharples Pet are named as the sole UK distributor.
- SPF15 sun protection
- 20cm x 18cm wipe, extra thick and moist
- 20 wipes per pack
- Non-greasy, non-sticky formula
- Vanilla and coconut scent
What's missing here. No ingredient list or active sunscreen compound is given on this card, so we can't independently confirm how the SPF15 figure is achieved. Reapplication frequency is not specified either, so treat it as needing regular reapplication the way any sunscreen does, particularly after swimming.
Who it's for: owners of a pale-skinned or thin-coated dog spending time outdoors in strong sun, wanting a wipe-on option rather than a spray or cream.

Why we chose it
A wipe is simply easier to apply to a wriggling dog than a spray or cream, especially on the nose and ear tips where sunburn happens most. 20 to a pack also means it's genuinely usable across a full summer rather than running out after a couple of walks.
