Full description

A spray reaches teeth a pet won't hold still for long enough to brush, which is why a spray-on dental product has a genuine role alongside — or instead of — a toothbrush for an animal that simply won't tolerate one.

This is Petkin's plaque spray in a 4oz size. Beyond the product name and pack size, the makers have not supplied an ingredient list, application method, or frequency of use for this product.

What the label does not say. No ingredients, application instructions or frequency have been supplied for this product, so we cannot say how to use it or what is in it beyond its stated purpose. It is not a substitute for a vet check if there is visible tartar build-up, persistent bad breath or a sore mouth.

Who it's for: owners of a dog or cat that won't tolerate a toothbrush, wanting a spray-on option to add to a dental routine.

Common questions

How do I use it?

The makers have not supplied application instructions for this product.

How big is the bottle?

4oz.

Is this instead of brushing, or as well as?

It can be used as an alternative for pets that won't tolerate brushing, or alongside a dental routine — Petkin have not specified a preferred approach.

Will it fix bad breath or visible tartar?

It's a plaque spray, not a treatment — persistent bad breath or visible tartar build-up is worth a vet check.

Petkin Peanut Butter Plaque Spray 4oz

Why we chose it

It's a companion to the plaque gel we also stock — some pets take to a spray better than a gel applied by hand, so having both options on the shelf covers more households. Small and low-cost enough that trying it isn't a big commitment either way.
