Full description

Plaque builds up on teeth whether or not a pet will tolerate a toothbrush, which is why a gel that goes straight on without brushing has a real place for the animals that will not sit still for the proper routine.

This is Petkin's plaque gel in a 4oz size. Beyond the size and the product name, the makers have not supplied an ingredient list, an application method, or a frequency of use.

What the label does not say. No ingredients, no application instructions and no recommended frequency have been supplied for this product, so we cannot tell you how to use it or what is in it beyond its stated purpose. A dental gel is not a substitute for a vet check if there is visible tartar, bad breath that persists, or a sore mouth.

Who it's for: owners of a dog or cat that will not tolerate toothbrushing and want a gel-based alternative to add to a dental routine.

Petkin Peanut Butter Plaque Gel 4oz

Why we chose it

It's a small, low-cost thing to have in the cupboard for a pet that fights the toothbrush, which is most of them. We stock it because a gel option is genuinely useful when brushing just isn't happening.
