Specifications

Brand: Peckish

Full description

Garden birds need more fuel to get through a winter night than a summer one, which is the entire logic behind a seed mix marketed specifically for the colder months rather than sold as a year-round default.

Peckish's Winter Warmer Extra Energy Seed Mix is a 1KG bag built from 9 different ingredients, with an oil content of 20% according to Peckish, plus their own added Calvita Vitamin Mix. It can be used in hanging feeders, ground feeders or on a bird table.

1KG pack
9 different ingredients
20% oil content
Enriched with Peckish's Calvita Vitamin Mix
Suits hanging feeders, ground feeders or a bird table

On the fine print. Peckish name the ingredient count and the oil percentage but don't itemise which 9 ingredients make up the mix or how much of the 20% oil comes from any one of them.

Who it's for: gardens feeding through the autumn and winter months, where the extra oil content matters more than it would in summer.

Peckish Winter Warmer Extra Energy Seed Mix

Why we chose it

A named oil percentage is a more specific claim than most winter mixes bother with, and 20% is a genuinely high figure for a seed blend. That's the detail that decided it, rather than the Winter Warmer name alone.
