Specifications

Brand: Peckish

Full description

Robins are famously insect-eaters as much as seed-eaters, which is presumably why a seed mix aimed specifically at them adds insect content rather than relying on seed alone. A robin that would ignore a plain seed pile will often come straight to a feeder once it can smell something closer to its usual diet.

Peckish's Robin Seed Mix is a 1KG bag with added insects, described by Peckish as a protein-rich seed mix aimed at robins specifically, rather than being sold as a general-purpose blend for whatever happens to visit the garden that day.

On the numbers. Peckish call it "protein rich" without giving a percentage, so we can't quote a protein figure — only that insects are included and tagged as the protein source. If an exact analytical breakdown matters to you, it isn't something this listing supplies.

Who it's for: gardens that already see robins regularly and want a mix pitched at them rather than a general blend, or anyone trying to encourage a robin that has so far ignored a plainer seed mix.

Peckish Robin Seed Mix

Why we chose it

Robins are one of the more reliably present garden birds. A mix built with them specifically in mind is a reasonable thing to have alongside a general seed blend, rather than instead of it.
