A suet cake made for an adult blackbird can be too big a mouthful for a young or small bird to work at comfortably, which is the reasoning behind making one specifically sized down.

This is a pack of 4 suet cakes: suet, peanuts and mealworms, described by Peckish as small, soft and easy to eat, aimed at small and young birds. They're enriched with Peckish's own Calvita Vitamin Mix, and the packaging is described as 100% recyclable with zero single-use plastic.

what the makers haven't told us. No protein or fat percentage is given for these cakes, and there's no specific feeder type recommended — only that they're designed to be small and easy to eat. Use your judgement on feeder compatibility based on the cake's size relative to a standard suet cage.

Who it's for: anyone with young or smaller garden birds visiting the feeder, who wants a suet cake sized down from the standard adult-bird block.
