Two details are worth more than the tier count. The bar spacing is 1cm, close enough that a determined small animal cannot push through it — wider bars are the usual reason a cage fails. And the base tray is 15cm deep, so you can pile in real bedding rather than a thin scatter that gets kicked out within a day. Which pets, honestly. PawHut list Syrian hamsters among the suitable animals and we would gently disagree. Hamsters want floor area and deep bedding to burrow in rather than height, and a fall from the top tier of a 120cm cage is a real risk for them — the deep tray here is excellent for a hamster, the four levels are not. For chinchillas, ferrets and rats, who climb by instinct and are sure-footed with it, this is exactly the right shape.
