Full description

Rabbit is one of the less common training-treat proteins on a shelf otherwise dominated by chicken and beef, which makes it worth a look for dogs already sensitised to the usual options. It is paired here with chicken rather than standing alone, in a soft, quick-to-eat format built for training.

The recipe is 40% rabbit and 35% chicken, alongside sweet potato and minerals, with protein running notably high at 57.9%. They come in a 1kg resealable bag, grain-free and gluten-free.

40% rabbit, 35% chicken
Protein 57.9%, fat 14.1%, fibre 5.9%
Grain-free and gluten-free
Supplied in a 1kg resealable bag
Not suitable for human consumption

On the two proteins. Rabbit leads at 40% against chicken's 35%, so this is genuinely rabbit-forward rather than a chicken treat with a rabbit garnish - worth knowing for a dog being tried on rabbit as a novel protein for the first time.

Who it's for: dogs already sensitive to the usual chicken and beef treats, and owners doing regular training who want a high-protein reward.

Why we chose it

The protein figure here - 57.9% - is unusually high for a training treat, and rabbit as the lead ingredient gives us something genuinely different to offer a dog that reacts to more common meats. It stores at room temperature too, which matters for a bag that lives in a training bag rather than the fridge.
