Plain chicken remains the starting point for most dogs moving onto raw, precisely because it is the protein least likely to trigger a reaction and the one most dogs already tolerate well from other foods. This recipe keeps that simplicity while still hitting a genuinely high meat content.

The recipe is 85% chicken, alongside apple, butternut squash, carrot, kelp, salmon oil and spinach, with added vitamin C. It is described as one of the best-selling flavours in the range, supplied as a 1kg frozen block.

• Chicken 85%
• Moisture 65.2%, protein 14.8%, fat 14.1%
• Calcium 1.1%, phosphorus 0.7%
• Complete food for high-energy, adult working dogs
• 1KG pack, frozen

On starting raw. Plain chicken recipes like this one are often used as the first raw food a dog is switched onto, precisely because it is a familiar, well-tolerated protein - but any diet change is worth doing gradually, and hands, surfaces and utensils need the same hygiene as any raw meat.

Who it's for: working dogs starting out on raw feeding, and owners wanting a straightforward, single-protein recipe as a baseline before trying others in the range.
