Cats are generally better at hiding stiffness and slowing down than dogs are, which is often mistaken for a cat simply becoming lazier with age rather than something worth paying attention to. A senior food that quietly includes joint support is one way of covering that without needing a diagnosis first.

This is Naturo's Senior Cat Chicken Pate, for cats aged 7 years and above: a smooth pate led by chicken (50%) and chicken liver (20%), with chicken broth, minerals, and small additions of glucosamine HCl and chondroitin sulphate alongside L-Carnitine. It's grain-free and a complete food.

• Chicken 50%, Chicken Liver 20%, Chicken Broth 10%
• Protein 10.5%, Fat 8.5%, Fibre 0.5%, Ash 3.5%
• 113Kcal per 100g
• Contains glucosamine HCl and chondroitin sulphate
• Also contains L-Carnitine (50mg per kg)
• For cats aged 7 years and above

On the joint-support additions. Glucosamine HCl and chondroitin sulphate are both in the recipe at 0.01% and 0.004% respectively, which is a trace amount rather than a measured therapeutic dose - Naturo don't make a joint-health claim for this food on the information we have, so treat their presence as a bonus ingredient rather than a reason on its own to switch if your cat has a diagnosed joint problem.

Who it's for: cats aged 7 and over moving onto a senior diet, and owners who'd rather that diet included a few extras like glucosamine than a plain chicken pate with nothing added.
