Full description
Aquatic turtles are more particular about temperature range than a lot of fish, and a food specifically labelled for cold and freshwater use reflects that narrower brief rather than being sold as suitable for every setup.
This is Monkfield Turtle Food, sold as a blister pack of 30 individual cube portions. It's described as made from 100% natural products and enriched with vitamins and Omega 3, and is stated as suitable specifically for cold or freshwater varieties.
- Blister pack of 30 individual portions
- Frozen turtle food
- Made from 100% natural products, enriched with vitamins and Omega 3
- Suitable for cold or freshwater varieties
One gap worth flagging. No protein, fat or calorie breakdown is given, and no feeding rate either — turtle feeding varies a lot by species and size, so there's no substitute here for checking what's appropriate for the specific animal you keep.
Who it's for: keepers of cold or freshwater aquatic turtles who want a frozen food to add to the diet, rather than a marine or tropical fish food used off-label.

Why we chose it
Being labelled specifically for cold and freshwater use means it's aimed at the animal it's actually feeding rather than a generic frozen fish food used off-label. Pre-portioned cubes also make it easy to control how much goes in at each feed.
