Full description

Frozen whole foods like krill are closer to what a lot of aquarium fish would encounter naturally than a dried flake, and a blister pack of individual portions makes dosing that kind of food far less messy than breaking off a chunk from a slab.

This pack holds 30 individual portions of large krill, made from what Monkfield describe as 100% natural products, enriched with added vitamins and Omega 3. It's suitable for marine, tropical, cold or freshwater fish, including cichlid and discus varieties.

On the pack. the makers haven't supplied a weight or protein analysis for this product, so beyond the portion count and the natural, vitamin-enriched description, we can't give you a nutritional breakdown to compare against a dried food.

Who it's for: keepers across marine, tropical and coldwater setups, including cichlid and discus tanks, who want a frozen whole food rather than a dried flake or pellet.

Why we chose it

Individual blister portions solve the actual problem with frozen fish food — the mess of breaking a slab apart over the tank. That it covers marine, tropical and coldwater setups in one product is unusually broad for a single item.
