A long-haired or heavy-shedding cat brings up hairballs as a matter of routine, and a food that's actually built around that, rather than just labelled for it, is worth telling apart from one that isn't.

Chicken (32%) leads the ingredients, followed by brown rice, dried chicken (17%), dried fish, salmon, tuna and blue whiting (9%), dried chicken egg (8%), oats, chicken gravy (2%), salmon oil and chicken fat (1%). Crude protein comes out at 36%, crude fat at 18%, crude fibre at 3% and crude ash at 9%. It's described as carrying an anti-hairball formula and being taurine-enriched, in a 4KG bag.

• Chicken (32%) and dried chicken (17%) lead the ingredients
• Dried fish (salmon, tuna and blue whiting) at 9%
• Crude protein 36%, crude fat 18%, crude ash 9%
• Anti-hairball formula, taurine-enriched
• 4KG bag

"Anti-hairball" isn't a percentage on the card. We can confirm the composition and the analysis figures above, but there's no specific fibre-blend percentage or mechanism given for the anti-hairball claim beyond the maker's own description, so treat it as a formulation aim rather than a guaranteed outcome for every cat.

Who it's for: owners of a cat prone to hairballs, particularly a long-haired or heavy-shedding one, wanting a chicken-and-fish recipe built with that in mind.
