Specifications

Brand: Marina

Full description

A tank does not need colour to function, but a lot of owners choose a substrate at least partly on how it looks under the light, which is presumably why Marina sell exactly the same coated gravel in several different colourways rather than just one.

This is Marina's epoxy-coated decorative gravel in the Tri-Colour Blue mix, 2kg net weight. The epoxy coating keeps it inert, so it should not affect the tank's water chemistry, and it's sold dust-free and suitable for both fresh and saltwater aquariums.

What the card doesn't cover. No grain size or exact shade breakdown of the tri-colour mix is given, so if a specific look or grade matters to your setup, this card doesn't give you the detail to check it against beforehand.

Who it's for: aquarium keepers wanting a blue-toned decorative gravel that stays chemically inert, for a fresh or saltwater tank.

Marina Gravel Tri Blue

Why we chose it

The epoxy coating being genuinely inert matters more than which colourway you pick, and it is the reason we stock the Marina range over cheaper uncoated decorative gravel. Tri-Colour Blue is simply the shade that suits a blue-themed tank rather than a single flat colour.
