The two lengths do not agree
Marina's own description puts the shaft at 48 cm and calls that 19 inches, while the size on the trade listing reads 22 inches. Those are not the same tool, nobody has reconciled them, and if reach into a deep tank is the reason you are buying then the shorter figure is the safe one to plan around. Nothing else about the geometry is published either — no head width, no blade width — and there is no mention of replacement pads or blades being available, which on a tool with a consumable working face is the thing that decides how many years you get out of it.
Why we chose it
One handle instead of four is the argument for it, and the fork on the end is the part nobody expects to use and then uses every week. It is cheap enough to live beside the tank as the working tool rather than the tidy one in the cupboard. It goes out flat in a long box, which is the only awkward thing about it.

Full description
Algae on the front glass is one of the only aquarium problems you can fix in a minute, which is exactly why it is the one that gets left. The jobs that need a bucket get scheduled; the job that needs a tool you cannot find gets postponed until the tank looks green from the hallway.
Marina's answer is to put four jobs on one shaft. The head carries a two-sided pad — a soft yellow sponge face for soft algae and slime, and an abrasive green nylon face for the stubborn stains that will not wipe off — plus a plastic scraper blade for hardened deposits and a planter fork for pushing plants back in and lifting debris out. The pad is rated for both glass and acrylic aquariums, which is not true of every scraper on the shelf. Marina give the shaft as 48 cm, which they describe as 19 inches.

Who it's for: keepers of a planted glass or acrylic tank who would rather own one handle than four, and anyone still cleaning the front pane with a sponge and an arm in the water up to the shoulder.

Common questions
Can I use it on an acrylic tank?
The scraper pad is stated as suitable for both glass and acrylic aquariums. The rigid plastic blade is meant for hardened stains — on acrylic, start with the soft sponge face.
How long is the handle?
Marina give the shaft as 48 cm, which they describe as 19 inches. The trade size on this listing reads 22 inches, and the two figures have not been reconciled.
What are the four tools?
A soft yellow sponge pad, an abrasive green nylon pad on the reverse of the same head, a plastic scraper blade, and a planter fork.
Will it shift hardened deposits?
That is what the plastic scraper blade is for — Marina describe it as removing hardened stains. The abrasive nylon face is the step before it.
Are replacement pads available?
Nothing about spares has been supplied for this tool.
