Full description

Freeze-drying is a different process from simply air-drying, and it's the reason this one holds its shape as easy-to-handle cubes rather than the loose strands of some other dried treats.

This is freeze-dried Tubifex, sold in cubes, and it's suitable across tropical, coldwater and marine fish as well as turtles and terrapins - a wider compatibility list than a lot of dried treats carry. Protein sits at 45%, with fat at 12%.

Freeze-dried Tubifex sp., in cube form
Protein 45%, fat 12%
Suitable for tropical, coldwater and marine fish, and turtles and terrapins
Complementary treat, not a complete food
Feed 2-3 times a week
10G tub

A reminder on frequency. This is a complementary treat rather than a complete food, and King British's guidance is the same as their other dried treats - 2-3 times a week, sparingly, alongside a fish's usual food rather than instead of it.

Who it's for: owners of tropical, coldwater or marine fish, or turtles and terrapins, wanting a freeze-dried treat in easy-to-handle cube form.

King British Tubifex Fish Treat

Why we chose it

The freeze-dried cube format is easier to portion than a loose dried treat, and the wider compatibility list - covering turtles and terrapins as well as fish - makes it useful in a mixed household. It's also richer in fat than some of King British's other dried treats, worth knowing if you're feeding more than one.
